RETURN, EXCHANGE & CANCELLATION POLICY

At Mahalaxmi Jewellers (“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”), customer satisfaction is important to us. This Return, Exchange & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions applicable to purchases made at our retail outlets or through our website https://mahalaxmijewellers.in/.
Due to the nature of precious metals and gemstones, all returns, exchanges, and cancellations are subject to strict conditions as outlined below.
1. GENERAL POLICY STATEMENT
Jewellery purchases are governed by market-linked pricing and product customisation.
Returns, exchanges, or cancellations are not a customer right and are permitted only at the sole discretion of Mahalaxmi Jewellers, subject to the conditions stated in this Policy.
Customers are strongly advised to carefully inspect products before confirming purchase.
2. ELIGIBILITY FOR EXCHANGE OR RETURN
A product may be considered for exchange only if all of the following conditions are met:
• Request is made within 7 days from the original date of purchase
• Product is unused, unworn, undamaged, and in original condition
• Original invoice or bill is produced
• Product is not customised, engraved, resized, repaired, or altered
No cash refunds are provided under any circumstances.
3. NON-RETURNABLE AND NON-EXCHANGEABLE ITEMS
The following items are strictly non-returnable and non-exchangeable:
• Custom-made or personalised jewellery
• Engraved, resized, repaired, or altered items
• Diamond jewellery once sold
• Gold or silver coins, bars, and biscuits
• Jewellery purchased during promotional offers or discounts
• Jewellery showing signs of wear, damage, or tampering
4. EXCHANGE TERMS
Exchanges are allowed only against jewellery of equal or higher value.
Any price difference must be paid by the customer.
Exchange value shall be calculated based on:
• Prevailing market rate on the date of exchange
• Applicable making charges
• GST and other statutory deductions
Making charges, wastage, and taxes are non-refundable.
5. DIAMOND JEWELLERY POLICY
Diamond jewellery is not eligible for return.
Exchange may be considered only after internal quality verification.
Diamond value is assessed based on:
• Carat
• Clarity
• Cut
• Colour
• Prevailing Company valuation standards
Certification charges, if any, are non-refundable.
6. ONLINE ENQUIRIES AND WEBSITE ORDERS
The Website displays product images, descriptions, and prices for indicative purposes only.
Final confirmation, pricing, and decisions related to exchange or return are made at the retail outlet.
No return or exchange will be processed solely on the basis of online images or descriptions.
7. ORDER CANCELLATION POLICY
Orders once confirmed cannot be cancelled.
Advance payments or booking amounts are strictly non-refundable.
In case of manufacturing delays attributable to the Company, appropriate resolution may be provided at the Company’s sole discretion.
8. MANUFACTURING DEFECTS
If a genuine manufacturing defect is identified:
• The defect must be reported within 48 hours of purchase
• The product will undergo internal quality inspection
• Resolution may include repair or replacement at the Company’s discretion
No monetary refund shall be issued in such cases.
9. BUYBACK POLICY (IF APPLICABLE)
Buyback is allowed only for jewellery originally purchased from Mahalaxmi Jewellers.
Original invoice is mandatory.
Buyback value is calculated based on:
• Current market rate
• Deductions for wastage
• Making charges
• Stone value depreciation
GST and making charges are non-refundable.
10. RIGHT TO REFUSE
Mahalaxmi Jewellers reserves the absolute right to:
• Accept or reject any return, exchange, or buyback request
• Modify this Policy without prior notice
• Refuse requests that do not meet quality or policy standards
All decisions of the Company shall be final and binding.
